This comprehensive reimagining of an international hotel’s guest experience was designed to increase profitability without compromising on brand aesthetic.
In re-positioning the Element brand for Marriott International, our design team provided solutions that elevate the guest experience and better align Element’s brand promise with guest expectations.
Recognizing the need to enhance its guest facing experiences, Element Hotel asked for a reengineering of its prototype design so resources could be strategically redirected to those areas.
Project Goals
Recognizing the need to enhance its guest facing experiences, Element Hotel asked for a reengineering of its prototype design so resources could be strategically redirected to those areas.
This overarching goal uncovered an opportunity to holistically refresh the hotelier’s brand position within the market through the integration of wellness-focused design and experiential moments.
Objectives
- Reduce overall cost of implementation
- Reallocate savings to improving experience alignment with brand goals
Solutions
Every guest touchpoint, from arrival to checkout, was enhanced, from a new exterior aesthetic, check in desk, food and beverage spaces, and flexible casual restaurant space, to updates for the gym and hotel room design with new food offerings focused on nutrition and well-being.
An Innovative Experience
We designed Element’s Studio Commons, a first-of-its-kind hotel experience for health and wellness-minded visitors, to accommodate the necessities for a stay of any length.
The collegiate style quad offers enough shared space for guests to take advantage of a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, an entertainment area and work area, all surrounded by up to four comfortably designed, secure private rooms.
Interactive 360 Tour
Our Digital Visualization team developed this fully interactive 360 virtual tour to help showcase the experience of the space prior to completion.
Element Hotels is always looking for ways to continue to innovate in the longer-stay space, so this new design concept is an exciting next step for the brand.
