Creating a Cornerstone
This cultural center destination and local arts agency is designed as a campus of three buildings hinged around a central plaza with public exterior and interior spaces for gatherings and events.
The design team integrated creative ways to accommodate the needs of the building’s various users – including students, professional artists in a variety of disciplines and the broader community – within the shared-use facility. Since opening, this Center has become the cornerstone of the new Arts District in Spartanburg.
