Tom leads a team of architects, programmers, planners and designers dedicated to the design of pre-K through 12th grade learning environments.

As Partner and Community Principal in the Charlotte office, he and his team focus on projects in the traditional public, public charter, independent and faith-based school markets. Throughout his 34 years in school design and construction, Tom has honed his expertise in programming schools, and in site and building master planning. Clients he has partnered with include Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, Piedmont Community Charter School, Charlotte Latin School, and the Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools. Tom continues to further his knowledge of educational design, having served as an adjunct professor at UNC Charlotte, speaking at conferences such as A4LE, School Building Expo, NAIS, and NBOA.
