With over four decades of experience in designing award-winning projects, Tom serves as Partner and Principal with a focus on strategy, design, and the delivery of community-centered projects. Driven by a commitment to exceeding client expectations, he brings a fresh perspective to every endeavor.

Tom’s influence extends beyond practice. As a former professor and advisor at UNC Charlotte’s College of Architecture, he has shaped the next generation of designers while establishing himself as a thought leader. He has authored articles for architectural journals and shared his expertise as a speaker at regional and national conferences.

An accomplished author, Tom has written two books and was honored with the prestigious Rotch Traveling Fellowship, which allowed him to explore architecture worldwide. This experience further fueled his passion for drawing and painting, pursuits he continues today. Tom is rarely without his sketchbook or moleskin journal, capturing inspiration through sketches and watercolors wherever he goes.
