With approximately 63,000 adults lacking a high school diploma in the Washington, DC area, Goodwill Industries recognized the need for a charter school specializing in adult education.
Located in a downtown office building, the Goodwill Excel Center utilizes classroom space on the lower level and childcare and program offices on the level above. The design team incorporated unique lighting, branding/environmental graphics to craft a learning experience that inspires students to thrive and where students see themselves as productive adults entering the work force.
