This expansion project of the Wake County detention center included an updated Master Development Plan and designing to ensure minimal impact on the environment.

As set forth in a vision statement created by the client and project team, the design was guided by the principles of innovative technology solutions, integrated security, financially responsible, minimal impact on the environment and forward-thinking toward the long-range plan. The project includes inmate housing, inmate services, medical clinic and infirmary, academic education, facility/security administration and food service.
